This case concerns the revocation of the California medical license of Lawrence S. Krain, M.D. (Krain), by the Medical Board of California (the Board). Krain filed a petition for writ of mandamus in the superior court, seeking an order setting aside the Boards revocation of Krains license. (See Code Civ. Proc., § 1094.5, subd. (a).) The superior court denied the petition. Krain then sought review in this court by petition for extraordinary writ of mandamus, in accordance with Business and Professions Code section 2337. Krain also filed two notices of appeal. In the published portion of this opinion, we consider one area of Krains petition: whether the Board properly based Krains discipline at least in part on Krains plea of guilty to soliciting the subornation of perjury. In the unpublished portion of this opinion, we dismiss Krains appeals and address the remaining issues raised by Krains petition.
